Flattened head on 13 week old

My dd is 13 weeks old and a couple of weeks ago I noticed her head was flat on one side at the back. I probably should have picked this up earlier but she has a lot of hair which has masked things. I spoke to the health visitors about it and they said it should rectify itself once she starts sitting up and crawling. However, I want to stop it getting worse if I can. I've got a pillow to go under her head when she is on her back during the day and am putting all her toys on the side she doesn't normally turn towards. I'm also trying to get in plenty of tummy time. The only thing is at night time she always turns her head to the right when she's sleeping. I've tried turning it the other way when she's asleep but she always switches back. I've read that there is a mattress called sleepcurve which is meant to help. I was just wondering if anyone had tried these? They're quite pricey so thought I'd ask before buying anything.

Its totally normal fpr babies to have a slightly flatter head on one side and your health visitor is right, as she starts spending more time in different positions it will improve. Sometimes it doesnt completely disapear but is basically impossible to notice in kids/adults because their heads are bigger and generally covered in hair! Put it this way, have you ever met a new person and noticed the shape of their head! Youre doing the right things by encouraging tummy time and putting toys for her to look at kn the opposite side. But just let her sleep as shes comfy. Dont need to go buying any fancy mattresses/helmets!

My dd had a very flat bit on the back of her head - apparently it is due to the position she was in the womb, with her head pressing on my pelvis.

It's still flattish - and she's 19 now!
