Posted the other daybreak about the vomit bug my 12month old has.

Dd(3.75) has it too. First vomit Monday 5.00pm, last one 9pm then nothing - fine yesterday playing Ate dinner ( plain pasta and chicken) then this morning 8am she is sick again- all the water she drank this minting nothing else.

Is this common??

I have to admit in my 6.5years of being a mum we have had very little experience with this so very lucky

but I do feel a bit clueless and am starting to despair (vomiting in this house been going on a week ds(6.5) and dh also had it) Confused

Hi I replied on your other post also but just wanted to say yes this can be normal for young children though I wasn't aware until it happened to us in March also! My ds 3.75 as well, threw up on a Tues night, didn't eat much on Wed but had no more vomiting, was fine Thurs and frid! Yet then threw up again on Saturday followed by loose stools. He also had a viral rash with it so I took to gp and they said it actually is quite common for young children to vomit days apart, I had no idea! Hope that helps, I'm sure you are so fed up!

Thanks so much for the info. She was very sick 8 am and 12pm then had a massive sleep and by 4.30 was asking for toast and oatcakes and apple juice. She then appeared to make a recovery to the point she was twirling around and playing with her brothers.

However I have learnt that this may not last!!

Fed up.... yep! My washing machine and dryer are on constantly. I’m very good at mopping.

Not been out since last wed apart from a 3 min drive to and from school (dd sick bucket in lap!) and a dash from parked car to school office with ds.

This has to end......

Hopefully this is the tail end of it op for the both of them, at least you know dh and eldest child have fully recovered x

Hope your children feel better.

Please please make sure you leave it 48 hours since last sick minimum before returning them to School or Nursery.

Otherwise you are just sharing germs and risk making other children unwell too.

Hi @itchytights

Ds went back to school wed after being 48hours on the Tuesday lunchtime.

Dd will be nursery 5 days after last one I yesterday 12.30pm was the final episode.

Ds 12mth not sure - I return to work wed but have told them I might not be in

So rest assured I don’t take the piss.

Case and point One of my bathrooms is unfinished ( no toilet, shower or flooring) as I told the plumber and tiler we had a bug and said it probably wasn’t worth it and left it up to them. As I didn’t want to share it with them and their family.
