One leg longer than the other

I took my 5 year old ds to a do a foot clinic today as I've had concerns about the way he walks etc and doctors thought maybe it was due to him having flat feet. The podiatrist did an assessment on it and it was clear that one leg is longer than the other without being measures yet seems about 1.5/2cm we are bow waiting to be referred through the NHS and meant time we have been sent home with excerises to so to try and ease any tension in his leg muscles. Has anyone experience with this? I'm glad we have found the problem but still gutted for him and worried I have left it too late to try and get help for him

I was told I had uneven leg length by about 6cm, and it wasn't picked up until I was 17 after years of knee problems. Aged 20 they wanted to operate on my legs to lengthen one by I think 3cm. I refused the surgery due to attending university, and living in the 3rd floor of a Victorian house with no lift. It would have meant deferring a year and I didn't want to. And the surgery scared the crap out of me.

I was subsequently diagnosed with scoliosis of the upper spine. I'm twisted, which affects the balance of my hips and subsequently my leg length. The surgery, well who knows what that would have done to me. Not fixed the issues anyway.

I manage the scoliosis with Pilates, but my posture is still poor and I have a lot of ongoing issues with neck pain and migraine, although the NHS are adamant the migraine is not linked 🤔🙄
