Possible exposure to worms

Spent a weekend away with friends 2 weeks ago, been told today one of their children has come down with worms (boak) we had different accommodation but all the children had close contact. DD (3.5) has no symptoms and the other child could have got them after the holiday but I'm not sure wether to treat for hen anyway? My only concern is the advice is to treat the whole family but I am pregnant and ovex isn't recommended in pregnancy so if just DD and DH take the medication it might be pointless anyway? Should I just wait and see? She is at nursery 4 days a week and always seems to poop there so might be hard to check her poo.

I'd wait and see. You don't always spot them in poop anyway - they don't come out until they're dead or weakened by medication because they cling on to the sides of wherever it is they reside. Wait and see if she suffers with itching at night (usually not long after they've settled to sleep) and then deal with it. For you, being pregnant, just observe good hygiene. Wash hands before eating etc.

I got really obsessed about worms when my ds for them aged 10 months. He was prescribed medication but I was advised not to take it because I was bf. I changed the beds every day, hoovered, damp dusted and terrified myself with some of the things I read on Google so stay away from that! They're really not a huge deal. If dd gets them, medicate her along with everyone else in the family (excluding you) and again two weeks later. I had us all sleeping on onesies to try to prevent nocturnal scratching. They're not nice but they're not the worst. Chances are she'll be exposed to them at nursery at some point anyway. .
