DS woke this morning with a tiny spot on his head and one on his chin. They are teeny tiny, like pinpricks.
Then i’ve just noticed on his lower back a group of them, they’re teeny tiny and in a big cluster. Dreading it’s the pox (we fly on holiday in 6 days) but they don’t look like them to me. But could be. I’m only used to them in older kids, does anyone have any experience? I’ve zoomed right in on the photo a irl they’re the size of a needle prick.

Not chickenpox. Prickly heat? Eczema?

BuffyFan · 29/05/2018 07:52

I would say prickly heat too

TheMonkeysAreMine · 29/05/2018 07:53

Pox develop v v quick ime. More pop up in minutes. I wouldn't say they look like pox because they're so small and v close but I don't know what it could be.

Has he had eczema before? I've had patches of eczema similar to that when I was younger

Thanks all, I do wonder if it’s prickly heat related because its all where his nappy is. One on his head worries me though. Going to keep an eye. He’s fine in himself no temp no irritability or anything. Thanks again

I would say eczema. My DS has a red rash similar in his nappy area. GP prescribed oilatum cream and bath bubbles and a hydrocortisone cream if needed. The oilatum cream has worked so far!

Here is a photo!

Is it on his hands feet and mouth? This is the cream we use, pretty sure you can get it from chemists too.

Well sort of...! Haven’t been convinced by GP 😂 used oilatum bath and aveeno cream tonight and it’s pretty much gone. I think we’ll stock up!

Eczema it is!
Glad you've got to the bottom of it! We use the oilatum cream nearly every day and it is settled.
