DS and food! Help!

DS is 18 months. He is a really good eater and I haven't found anything so far he won't eat! Problem is, he literally doesn't stop eating and always seems genuinely hungry!! For example, he'll have breakfast at 7:30am - 2 weetabix with a bit of fruit, but by 8:30/9am he is hungry again wanting food by usually crying or whinging. Giving him something to nibble on always stops this and he points at the fridge and the cupboard. I don't think he's old enough yet to be at the stage of being 'hungry' (aka wanting sweets chocolate crisps etc) and will happily take anything I give him eg raisins, yoghurt banana etc so seems genuinely hungry. I think he has a good varied diet so no worries there but any tips on what to give him that will fill him up including age appropriate snacks??! Thanks!!

Dd is now 3.5 but has always eaten a huge breakfast especially at the weekends. She will happily tuck away some cereal, something bread based (bagel, muffin or toast with peanut butter) and then some fruit.

She eats normally at other meals but a big breakfast seems to set her up for the day. I just try and pick cereals with limited sugar e.g. wjeetabix or porridge, peanut butter just from nuts so that they are better choices, but if they are hungry I don't see the point at not giving food.

@TeaBelle yes that's exactly what I do too! DS always has weetabix or porridge nothing else fills him up enough! I guess I just worry if it's normal that a child his age eats so much!! He's a big boy, so will need the food I'm just anxious that I'm giving too much you know?

This morning, he's had 2 weetabix, a whole banana, a strawberry cereal bar, 2 digestive biscuits, and a handful of grapes. He's only been up 2 hours!

DS has always been a breakfast monster - I used to give him porridge, then toast and peanut butter, then take fruit, dry cereal or malt loaf with us if we were going out somewhere. He'd still eat a good lunch but he's always been more 'take it or leave it' about dinner.
