Head Lice

Hello everyone, for last few weeks I am struggling with head lice in my daughter's hair. She brought from school. She has very lobg thik hair. I have tried every head luce lotion, moose, shampoo but it is not going. Could anyone please advice any tried and tested meathod to get rid off head lice. Thanks so much.

Have you tried a Nitty Gritty?

Hi I have three daughters and headline is a huge problem. In my experience it's best to use a nitty gritty comb after applying conditioner in the bath or shower. I then spray tea tree oil which has been added to water. Keep going through their hair daily with the comb - you will get rid of them.

Nitty gritty and lyclear worked for us. I used condition when combing daily.

Is nitty gritty any special comb?

A nit comb and lyclear, luckily my 8yr old has only had it once, she also has quite thick hair and this got rid pretty quickly.

It is. When hair is smothered with conditioner, it whisks out lice and nits. It can take an absolute age to do (DS has only chin length hair and it takes at least 20 mins to do thoroughly) but worth it.

Thanks everyone for advice. I have a little confusion someone advice me that electric comb can work better. Does anyone tried that.

Tea tree detangle spray is a good deterrent I've heard. Spray after washing, before drying.
