Dropping weight percentiles

My 3.5 year old is under investigation for a few bits and when she was an inpatient last week they did her weight. Plotted it I'm her red book and she seems to have gone from over the 91st centile at 2.5 to half way between 75th and 50th now at 3.5 for her weight. How much significance should the centiles hold now?

Always best to speak to your hv / GP if concerned. But how is her eating? Does she have a healthy diet.
I would say at 3.5 being on the 50th centile Is better than 91st (height dependent)

My daughter started life on 91st percentile.
At 5 she was on the 19th centile for weight and probably about 75th for height.
Now I think she’s possibly even less at 6.
But she is healthy.
Children lose their babiness, they take stretches and chubby toddlers all of a sudden become skinny kids.

It's difficult to say as you need to look at the pattern of growth for weight, length, head circumference.

What was her birth centile? A drop like that would be fine if she's born or sustained 75th from early on, esp as you could account for it if she's been unwell

She was born on 9th centile and quickly rose to 91st and more or less stayed there until 2.5 and now she is right down by the 50th.

She is waiting on an mri and eeg with a view worrying symptoms and has been anemic for a year so just worrying generally :(

That does sound worrying for you. Sorry she's not well. What are her symptoms if you don't matter me me asking?

A two centile drop is the general lea way given before until you would start looking at a potential underlying cause.

Anaemia can be common in small children. Does she drink a lot of milk?

She complains every morning of having a headache. Her eyes have suddenly gone a bit funny and dropping and occasionally cross eyed, her balance randomly goes and she seems to have had an increase in abscence episodes.

She used to drink a lot of milk when first diagnosed but hasn't in months. She loves water.

Does she have a history of absence seizures? A sinus infection could cause headaches, eye problems, increase in seizures etc and can be hard to detect in small children. Sounds worrying for you all.

Calcium and iron compete in the body so it common for children that drink lots of milk to be anaemic, especially if they are not great eaters.

When is her MRI/EEG?
