Hello everyone
Just to say before I start I will be going to the GP tomorrow but I know they won't do anything and I am a bit perplexed as to what is going on - I'm a HV.
DS is 18 months. A couple of weeks ago he had a week long sickness bug, or what I thought was a bug but we didn't catch it. He was sick a lot or would go a few hours then be sick again or would go all night without being sick or be sick all night.
Some background info, he was BF until 16 months and is totally dairy free as ? CPMA. GP and paediatrician told me to manage it as I apparently knew what I was doing being a HV. I noticed from 2 weeks old he was so sicky and had a wet chest with lots of grunting so I cut the dairy out and overnight the difference was amazing. I have tried re-introducing it with the milk ladder but he ends up with bellyache or sickness. His poos are always ok.
So fast forward to Thursday last week and he went off his food totally, he's usually such a good eater. Ate very minimal. Sunday evening started chucking up, was fine overnight then at breakfast had a few mouthfuls of rice crispies and oat milk and then refused anymore and then coughed slightly followed by a vomit - sorry if TMI but it had stuff in it from the previous night so was worried he wasn't digesting things, was then sick again a couple of hours later. Then he grazed and picked and seemed ok, wasn't sick overnight then was sick again yesterday morning after a few mouthfuls of cereal, then grazed again and was ok until 5ish and projectile vommed everywhere and had things in it from the morning, he was then sick again last night before bed but was fine overnight, woke up at 4am a bit uncomfortable but didn't have a temperature. He always has a drink of oatmilk overnight and has never been sick with it.
He's fine in himself, a bit niggley at times. No temperature, skin fine and weeing and pooing fine. He does have a tooth coming through.
What do people think? Could he have another intolerance? Absolutely nothing has changed in his diet apart from a few teeny tiny dairy free chocolate drops but that was over Easter.
I'm sorry for such a long message - I'm just wracking my brains and I know my GP will say sweet FA!
Thank you
