My 15 month old has odd white patches behind her teeth(nothing on the front) she also has lots of ulcers in her mouth and is very very sore. Any ideas of the cause? If you zoom in on the pic you can see

Any ideas anyone? Little one hasn’t eaten at all today as her mouth is too painful 😣

Sorry, no experience of this, but some useful info here

Ds's first chicken pox spot was a white one on his tongue. The others came out a few days later. You could try the chemist tomorrow and see whether they know what it is.

Moonflower12 · 11/03/2018 18:34

It could be 'hand foot and mouth'?

GooodMythicalMorning · 11/03/2018 18:36

Hand foot and mouth at a guess as ds was like this.

StorminaBcup · 11/03/2018 18:38

I’d also guess at hand foot and mouth. Are there any spots on the feet and hands? Usually very small with pearly white heads.

SnibbleAgain · 11/03/2018 18:39

Try doc/ chemist as others have said.

Although my brother always had loads of mouth ulcers poor sod it was just one of those things.

stabilolikeaboss · 11/03/2018 18:43

hand foot and mouth, my DD had white patches and loads of ulcers in her mouth. Not much elsewhere. The white patches bled when brushed so we didn't for a white.

Shadowboy · 11/03/2018 18:43

I did wonder about HFM but she’s had it before? Can they get it twice? Also there are no spots on her hands or feet.

So hard as she’s starving but cries as soon as she puts anything in her mouth.

By the look of her nose, she also has a stinking cold too: is that the case?

star15 · 11/03/2018 18:46

My DD has had it twice. Not as bad the second time but still painful to eat for a few days.

Shadowboy · 11/03/2018 18:53

Grammargirl- it’s not too bad. Really on and off- all a bit odd. So she is bunged up for an hour or so, then fine for a bit and so on.

My DS had it twice, different seasons different virus strains apparently. He caught it in October then again in March. My youngest had it just before Christmas and the Dr recommended Ice lollies, yoghurts and Ella’s pouches just to get something in him (although he had impetigo as well!). Hope she’s feeling better soon.

RandomMess · 11/03/2018 18:58

First outbreak of cold sores can be like this my friends toddler DD existed Off yoghurts for weeks Sad

Whatevszz · 11/03/2018 19:00

Oral thrush?

Shadowboy · 11/03/2018 19:07

Whatevzss I wondered that too. Will try and get a doctors appointment tomorrow
