Eczema

My 4 month old has really bad eczema on his face. I've been to the dr a few times but just have been fobbed off with a few creams. They don't seem to be working but just making him look very greasy. Does anyone have any advice on this. Thanks

Which creams did your GP give you?
Look at Moogoo products- Milk Wash, Udder cream in particular. Aveeno with the oats (blue label, I think) can also be good.

Skin Salvation by Pure Potions has been helpful to a lot of ppl.

Switch to a non bio washing liquid for you washes. Cotton clothing, cool temperatures. Cotton bedding.

I like Diprobase but it's usually trial and error until you find one that suits. There are many options. Let skin dry and cool down before putting on a heavy emollient, otherwise you "trap" the heat and it makes the itch worse.

Hope some of this helps.

Also, use search to find similar posts. There was one fairly recently with loads of good advice.

What Bagel said, plus mittens (or socks) on his hands to stop the scratching.

It’s often trial and error with creams. You can buy some good creams from the chemist. Products such as Aveeno, MooGoo, child’s farm, diprobase, cetraben etc are good to use.

Aveeno worked a treat when DD has eczema on her face as a baby.

Have you heard of Dr Aron? Worth looking up and reading into his philosophy. A new way to treat eczema - no new drugs, just different method of application.

Have a look - there's a Facebook group too. Happy to answer any questions you have on this as it worked brilliantly for my little boy.
