My DD is going into GOSH for three weeks. Just wondered if anyone has any tips about where to eat healthily, is there anything to do around there other than the Brunswick Centre, any other tips to pass the time well other than books and Netflix??

I work there, there’s a lovely cafe in a church where you can get healthy-ish food and sit and read uninterrupted for hours... there are lots of coffee shops and things within a few minutes walk.

If you can leave DD for a few hours, get yourself to Lamb's Conduit Street for a facial at Aesop. Persephone Books is lovely for a potter as well.

There is a launderette just round the corner if you need to wash clothes.

Hi @MaryPoppinsPeguins - where abouts is the Church. That sounds good, as DD is having rehab and parents aren't allowed.

This cafe Tuttis which is on the corner of Great Ormond Street and Lamb Conduit Street has lovely healthy and sweet treats if needed as well as great coffee.

Over the years we have had relatively short stays compared to some/lots but feel like we know the area well. Three weeks at one time was our max and a few one week and four days stays and now just outpatient visits.

Whenever we go I still always enjoy Tuttis cafe, there is a downstairs which is a perfect hideaway with books to read.

There is an Italian Ciao Bella on lamb's conduit street near a community supermarket which is lovely food and always quite busy & they do take aways if needed.

The Persephone book shop is a great escape. I am not sure from your post if you are staying in or near by but the supermarket at Brunswick square is useful.

British Museum and the Wellcome Trust Collection are worth a visit.

If you can take your DC out then Corams Fields is a lovely park.
