Baby glasses

Hi.

My 1 year old needs glasses. Does anyone know which opticians have the best/biggest selection of glasses for babies. He also wears hearing aids and his head is a bit funny shaped so I'd like to be able try out a few different styles.

Centrostyle don't go around the ear and are supported by a strap so that might work.

Tomato frames are generally the most adaptable glasses - they have a range of sizes, nose pieces, adjustable frame length etc so I would certainly try those.

Miraflex are also good and often worn by babies with additional needs, they might acommodate a hearing aid.

We have a good independent optician near us, it's worth asking around your local area who is best - you're going to make very good friends with them! Lots of broken glasses, lost, replacements, new prescriptions etc. A bad optician makes it all much longer as they are without glasses whilst waiting for a repair/replace.

I can recommend a good Facebook page for advice, send me a PM.

Hi thanks for your replies.

High Street opticians do children's glasses not babies. We found a specialist opticians and are going with the Miraflex.

Miraflex and tomato glasses are both really good for babies. The tomato glasses are really soft and comfy and the sides can be lengthened as the babies grow
