Peeing!!

My ds - 4- has recently - about a week now - got a pee related problem. The reason I haven't seen GP is he's not in pain,so I don't think infection.

Only in the evening, he'll pee, then sit down and more will leak. Sometimes it happens only once, but the first night a week ago it was constant for nearly 2 hours, I had to sit him on a towel. He usually only drinks water, but that particular day he drank 3 capri (sugar free) sun's. So I put it down to this, but he's still doing it.
He's drinking same amount of water as usual. I'm baffled, and will see GP if continues.
Any one experienced this??

Definitely see your gp. It could be his bladder isn't emptying properly, could be an issue with the muscle that opens and closes to control flow from the bladder. Could also be to do with his foreskin although that wouldn't explain the 2hr incident

I've got Dr's app, will get him checked, thank you x

Any chance of constipation? That can put pressure on the bladder resulting in leaks.

laura6032 · 08/01/2018 14:24

Don't thinks so, he's had regular poos, but I'll ask Dr to check tummy, thank you x

My son poos every day too, but not enough, it seems. He’s now completely backed-up poor thing. I thought I’d mention it because this time last year if you’d asked me about constipation I’d have said th3 same as you & all the time he’s been getting more uncomfortable.

laura6032 · 08/01/2018 16:32

Ah, well I'll mention it to Dr, he did have problems earlier in year with blockage, and was in severe pain in his stomach.

UPDATE.
seen GP. No obvious sign of blockage or constipation. Bloods OK, urine OK but sent sample away for further investigation.
So just to wait till results back from lab.
Still no idea 😕x

Has it gotten any better or does it still happen? I take it they examined him physically too?

laura6032 · 10/01/2018 16:41

Still happening, just in evening too, she felt his tummy, temp, etc. No idea what they'll suggest if urine comes back clear 😕

Just in the evening? I missed that bit. Does he sit down to use the loo every time? I'm wondering whether he is withholding poo during the day and it's sitting in his rectum and obstructing the urine flow?

Get him to do a good sit at each toilet visit today (I find reading a story on the loo helps). Try & get him to empty his bowels through the day if he can and see what happens this evening.

laura6032 · 14/01/2018 12:20

His urine came back from lab clear. I've started putting his water in a small bottle and I'm encouraging him to go pee when he finished it.

He drinks 1.5-2 litres water and I wonder if he's drinking a lot during day and not Peeing enough.

He sits on the loo for ages he likes to "rest " on it.
I'll be back to Dr's this week, I think they'll be flummoxed though lol xx
