My ds is 3 1/2 and has a bad case of MC. It started off with about 7 spots on his navel now they have spread up his torso, under his arms and down his fore arms. I’ve been to see a dermatologist that recommended moludab. This stings ds and he won’t allow me to use it on him. He has a bath every night with a clean towel and pjs. Does any one know how I can prevent them from spreading even more or even help to make them go quicker. Thanks

... and also, is it suitable for the area around the eyes?

NotSure that sounds terrible, I didn't realise it could go on for so long, ds only had it for around 10 months and thankfully it never reached his face. I also mistakenly believed you couldn't get it twice!! Ds has a friend with it just now, will need to tell him to be careful.

Sorry no advice, we never used molludab, but it is available over the counter as I saw it online in amazon, there are hundreds of reviews there for it.

What can you get over the counter, in the UK that works?
Does sudocrem work as a nice easy solution if does!
Have feeling going to be told to leave 12 year olds alone when see GP or pharmacist but he is getting upset as spreading. [One big juicy one and then little ones].

When my son was young, the health visitor used to tell parents to give them a rub with a flannel just before you took them out of the bath. It cleared them up in about a week. Then when I had my daughter, the advice was to leave them to resolve naturally. Neither of my children have any scars from wither response.

Thanks Charmatt.
Seeing nurse at surgery later.
Going to discuss eczema as well which probably not helping situation...

My eldest son had this and the doctor told us to leave it alone so we did. It just started getting worse. Then when the baby caught it I decided we needed to get it sorted. After scouring the internet and trying every treatment going I saw something on mumsnet about pricking them with a sterile needle and then putting on a dab of sudocrem. We did it On the baby first as we could t convince the 5 year old it was in his interest. Well lo and behold the spots started drying out and falling off. The 5 year old encouraged by this let us do his and the same thing happened! Was amazing! The 5 year old had it for 18 months and the baby only had it for 4 months due to the pricking. Amazing. we bought sterile needles from amazon.
