Any one have any recommendations? Mine are 10 and 7 and am looking at getting them one each for Christmas. They have a kindle fire each but neither have a phone, but I could set them up on my phone as long as two devices can be enabled. Got to be the same or similar otherwise WW3 on Christmas day Hmm

I have a Fitbit but no chance they will be allowed similar - thinking £30ish maybe??

My daughter spent Christmas money on a Fitbit age 13, it fuelled her eating disorder and she’s now suffered tremendously. Imo not really something children should have, it diet culture really, I think they’re damaging and cause people to get obsessive - that or they’re just ignored and not used

DS (9) has got a Letscom tracker. He uses it as a watch, alarm and likes to track his step count (and compare with me!). He managed to work out how to link it to our iPod and change tracks within about 2 mins of having it too Grin
It fits a small wrist, charges easily and holds charge well, I'd recommend it.

There’s a long thread on this here from a few days ago.

My dc (6,9) have the Letscom ones.

I'd be concerned about tracking fitness at such a young age . It's unnnecessary to create a situation where children feel the need to do this. As a previous poster has mentioned it could promote some very destructive and damaging behaviours. Children should enjoy exercise and having fun without the pressure of monitoring.
