Do go to the doctors, you’ll only worry otherwise.

Lollipop30 · 10/12/2017 22:27

Also shouldn’t it show like that in every picture if there’s something wrong?

sticksii · 10/12/2017 22:32

well that's what I thought too, thought it would be on all photos but stupidly I googled it and apparently it doesn't have to be...I hate google lol,its made me think alsorts

So one pupil was red (red eye from camera flash) and the other pupil was yellow? Yes I would get that checked out.

Lollipop I think it can depend on the angle of the photo, ie how does the flash bounce off the eye, so not always show in every photo.

LilQueenie · 10/12/2017 22:34

get it checked out. DD had really bad headaches with a lot of pics like these. turned out she was fine and getting cluster headaches.

sticksii · 10/12/2017 22:37

I was wondering if it was light reflection but then stupid me thought it would be a good idea to google it and now ive scared myself lol...suppose no harm in phoning opticians

Hi, OP.

I had this with one of mine. I went to the Drs and they said it's a very common result of phone camera pictures. However, I'm sure the GP will be very very happy to see you. In the baby books it does say to see the doctor if you see this, so don't worry about coming across as stupid. But I think it is most likely caused by the phone.

alphajuliet123 · 10/12/2017 22:46

Sometimes it's just the way the flash is but I'd give the optician a ring anyway. What does his dad think?

loobylou10 · 10/12/2017 22:52

I had this with my son - panicked, took him to the opticians, all was fine. Try not to worry.

FriggyPudding · 11/12/2017 08:23

I believe this is only rarely sinister. Do get it checked, but the likelihood is that he's fine.

JohnHunter · 11/12/2017 10:37

Agree with the others that it is probably fine but does need checking out. An optician is a good place to start.

ForgivenessIsDivine · 11/12/2017 10:39

Go to an optician. You are worried and they will not mind checking it out.

sticksii · 11/12/2017 13:50

Thanks everyone for your messages, got an appointment at opticians for Wednesday if the snow decides to disappear :)
