In the third picture he was about to sneeze haha, hence the funny facial expression!

He said it itches a little, but not much.
He is completely well in himself.

No runny nose, no sore throat, no fever.

No rash/spots anywhere else.

Looks a bit like chicken pox, a very mild case.

dontquotemeondailymail · 16/11/2017 09:05

I'd say chicken pox or possibly impetigo

buzzbuzzbumblebee · 16/11/2017 11:09

Would it be worth making an appointment at the doctors?

He hasn’t had chicken pox yet and as far as I’m aware, hasn’t been around anyone with impetigo.

This was DD with chicken pox a few weeks ago. Looks the same to me.

I'd go with impetigo, the positioning of it, the slight crustiness.

picklemepopcorn · 16/11/2017 11:23

Make an appointment for tomorrow. If it is impetigo the patches will have got bigger, and you go. If it’s chicken pox, there will be more spots so stay h9me!

CAAKE · 16/11/2017 11:33

It could be chicken pox, but it looks like impetigo to me. I caught impetigo from a friend’s child a few years ago and it was absolutely horrendous. Go to the GP and ask for the fusidic acid ointment before it spreads.

buzzbuzzbumblebee · 16/11/2017 12:07

I’ll give them a ring now and hopefully get an appointment!

I'd say impetigo, the yellow crusts give it away

buzzbuzzbumblebee · 16/11/2017 12:49

I just had a browse on my phone to see if I had any pictures of him in the last few days.

I only have this picture but it was 29th October!
He gets little rashes like this occasionally but they never amount to anything and always disappear after a few days.

I phoned the doctors but the receptionist told me to ring back at 2 as they open more appointments then Hmm

It has definitely disappeared after that picture though.

This new bout of spots has only been a few days.

I thought impetigo too.
Go to gp and they'll give you an antibiotic cream for it

Zeitgei5t · 16/11/2017 13:07

Hand foot and mouth is also doing the rounds. Dd2 didn't get any on her hands or feet until a week after the face ones.

buzzbuzzbumblebee · 16/11/2017 13:54

Oh! That has just reminded me!!!

My nephew had a rash on his legs/feet and we saw him 2 days later. It wasn’t for long. But it had nearly gone when we saw him.

We saw him 5th November.
He didn’t have a rash anywhere else though. He goes to a childminder 3 days a week so could’ve picked something up from there.

DS is at school full time so obviously he could’ve picked something up from there.

Annoyingly I have added too many pictures today so it won’t allow to me add anymore!

Back from the doctors - managed to get an appointment at 3pm.

She said it’s impetigo and we’ve been given some cream because it looks very mild!

picklemepopcorn · 16/11/2017 15:52

Sorted.

CAAKE · 16/11/2017 16:14

Oh good! The cream will work wonders vey quickly.

CAAKE · 16/11/2017 16:15

Also - be careful about having him spread it amongst everyone at home. It’s easily passed on.
