Hi my 4 week old has a strange mark on the back of her head. I don’t know if it is a rash or birthmark or something else. It is not raised and she isn’t bothered by me touching it. I have attached a picture to get opinions. Thanks

Is it a storks bite birthmark? They are very common?

Picture?

Both of my kids had stork marks on the back of their heads. Pink/reddish marks. I don't know if they are still there under all that hair!

Looks like a stork bite to me. My dd had one but it faded as she’s ten months now.

It's a stork bite - not literally, that's just what they are called. Very common, it'll fade by the time she is around 18 months

My baby has that doctor said it's totally normal and will likely fade in time :)

My DD had a huge one on the back of her neck. Here in Aus the pediatrician called it a salmon patch. It became redder and redder in the weeks after she was born and started to fade when she was about 7/8 months. She's 2 now and it's only just visible.
