Hi everyone
Just looking for a bit of advise. My Ds saw his friend last weekend who had been exposed to chicken pox the day previous. Her parents didn't know till the Monday. He has today come out in this rash on his arms and legs. Does it look like chicken pox? If so what's the best way to treat it?
Thanks

Has friend come put in it? It doesn't look like it to me, too isolated spots.

He's got them on his back, neck legs and soles of feet. That's the only picture I can get at the moment as he's asleep

Doesn't look like it to me. I'd expect more and they usually start in hotter areas (admits, groin etc.)

Get a torch and see if the blisters are clear; if so, it's chicken pox. A GP gave me that trick and it's worked with all mine.

The timing wouldn't work, it is at least 10 days from exposure to cp.

If his friend had been exposed the day before he wouldn't be infectious when he saw your ds. Could it be hand foot and mouth?

Has he come out with more now OP, does look like CP

If it's on the soles of feet then it sounds more like hand foot and mouth. Chicken pox has a 10-21 day incubation period and they aren't contagious until 1-2 days before the spots appear
