11 year wants to be a pescatarian

Hi,
Looking for some advice please.
My 11 year old DS would like to become a vegetarian but I would like him to carry on eating fish/seafood until he is a little older. If he then wants to go fully vegetarian then I will support him. My question is whether this (my list below) is a healthy balance of nutrients for a growing and active boy (he does 5-6 hours of swim training per week plus other sports):

Breakfasts: one of these options

  • toast, butter, jam/peanut butter and apple juice
  • croissant, strawberries and semi-skim milk
  • banana/berries (whatever we have in) and full fat yogurt with a sprinkling of museli on top

Lunches: something like....

  • baked potato and various fillings - tuna/cheese/beans plus salad
  • 3 egg omelette with toast and smoked salmon
  • boiled egg and toast

Dinner:

  • tuna pasta bake with sweetcorn
  • fish, chips and peas
  • mushroom risotto

Snacks:

  • assorted nuts/berries
  • packet of crisps or suchlike
  • fruit
  • treats such as donut/smoothie etc.
  • He drinks mainly water but might have a glass of squash or tea or fizzy drink as a treat

Is this diet ok for him? Many thanks in advance.

Looks good to me. My DD went through a period of about a year on a pescatarian diet when she was 11. She is active and sporty. I noticed no problems but did keep an eye on her weight as she is quite slender. She happily eats nuts and eggs and also enjoyed chilli/Bolognese/curry made with red lentils. Quorn products also went down well. The only negative was that I joined her (not overly keen on meat) and became anaemic after about 6 months. My lovely GP advised me to eat meat again as it was the only explanation for the anaemia.

Thanks - not sure how long it will last and I won't be joining him as dd is very fussy and I don't want her limiting her food choices any further.
