Is she eating something new?

New bread? New cereal?

Is she on a new type of milk?

On any pain relief? Ibroprofen medicine?

Has she just started nursery? Nervous, or a bug from there?

Hi ,Ive given her ibuprofen to help her and fluids, nothing else has changed except she's starting school in September?

Has she had ibruprofen before?? My dd is fine with calpol but can not stomach ibruprofen.

Bonjovibabez · 11/08/2017 22:43

Yes she's fine with it.

Will she drink fruit juice? Generally purple fruits are good for loosening things up, so a little bit of prune or grape juice mayhelp with the no poo issue. If she's constipated that cvoiuldxbe causing her to vomit.

Did they say it's gastroenteritis by any chance? My little one had it. Try to avoid rich food and give bland food? Also plenty of water to keep her hydrated. This should hopefully settle her stomach. I was giving fruit purees (ellas pouches I just thought it's easier to digest) If you try this and see how she gets on. She wouldn't have any stools if shes bringing it up. Just try giving her small portions and be patient.

Avoid dairy as well as this can exacerbate the problem ( that's what a gp told me).

Bland pale foods- Bread, Rice, Pasta etc. Lots of water but no citrus ( orange juice or anything like that).

I would also invest in some probiotics after illness ( especially as she will be going to School in September ).

Also, Calpol is more gentle on the stomach than Ibuprofen.

Hope DGD feels better.

I came on to post the same thing! My 20 month old has been sick every night for the last 4 nights. Just once around 1am and then she is absolutely fine all day. Although she has been having loose stools.
Went to the docs and he seemed to think it wasn't a bug as no temp or general unwellness and my other toddler hasn't caught it! I'm really confused by it so hopefully there are some more responses on this thread!

Mashed potato might get her bowels moving?

Hunkle · 12/08/2017 07:15

I meant has he had Ibroprufen & that caused the vomiting? Also is she in nursery?

If she is, I would ask them what shes having there, bread, milk, etc.

My DD will vomit approx 3-4 hours after milk. Whole bed change etc.

Thank you for all your responses I have brought prune juice and a bottle of syrup of figs also some raisins and fruit so hopefully will help, she was sick again last night so frustrating not knowing what's wrong ,I know the dr said bug but I thought if it was a bug she would be sick during the day and going to the toilet more as still nothing that end, she's fine all day playing ,just goes to bed and in the night sicks up what she eats all day .

Lactulose syrup would help her to pass stools.Make sure to give more of warm water all the time.I had the same problem with my DD and continuing as above helped a lot.Now she is not on lactulose anymore but I make sure she drinks lots of liquids especially water.

Thank you ,we had a good night last night,no sickness and her poo is mushy bits so I think it's started to move at last .
