Is this chicken pox?

I notice the biggest spot yesterday and thought it was an insect bite. It now has scabbed and more spots have appeared.

This is my 15 month old dd- she has a twin brother who has no spots.

Is this chicken pox? What do I do now? Take her to the doctor tomorrow? Go to the pharmacist?

Excuse my naivety- these are my first babies.

She has no other symptoms.

TIA

Long time since DD1 had chicken pox but it could be.
DH phoned our surgery and took her in to get checked - they asked them to sit away from the waiting room.
GP put DH on antivirals as he hadn't had it - came down with it anyway but not as bad as it could have been.
I would phone GP surgery to see what they advise.

It looks like it to me but I'm not a doctor. When dc had it, I didn't take them to the doctor as there didn't seem to be much point, but I did phone and inform them so it would go on the dc's medical records.

Treat with calamine lotion, piriton for relevant age child and cool flannels etc to soothe the itching.

My ds aged 5 had it two weeks ago and it looked exactly like that. There's not much you can do really except calpol (not ibuprofen as it can cause a reaction with chicken pox) and poxyclin from Amazon or boots to help with itching (ds really liked it). Hope your little one is better soon.

Thank you guys.

It seems pretty conclusive what with you lot and the people I've asked personally.

😩 some would say it's good to get it over with when they're young.... so silver linings and all that.

Now I just have to keep an eye on her twin brother!
