In pain with Chicken Pox and eczema

My poor DD2 has chicken pox, mainly on her legs so far and she also has bad eczema and the pain she is in means at some points of the day she can't walk. I visited the pharmacy who told me to keep up with emollients, painkillers and piriton. That does help, but as you can see it is still extremely sore. I think it's a trip back to the doctors, but does anyone have any advice for now? Dh thinks it isn't chicken pox, but my elder Dd also has chicken pox and it seems typical.

That looks quite like infected eczema to me, rather than chickenpox.
I'd get her an emergency drs appointment today to get it checked out, it looks really sore.

Poor little love. I would take her back to the dr yes just to check for any secondary infection. Treatment wise I can only think of some kind of numbing cream? Cold packs/semi frozen flannel?

I'm assuming you already know, but unless the Dr can confirm it's definitely not chickenpox, don't use her steroid creams, just emollients.

After a long morning trying to get her back in to the docs I got a nurse appt and she said it is quite hot so she has been prescribed antibiotics. Fingers crossed it starts to heal soon, it's awful to see her in so much pain.

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I’m desperate. My wife and I are having this exact problem with our little one. He is 8 months and the Doc diagnosed it as eczema and chickenpox. Can I ask you how your little one got on and did the rash leave any scars?
