8yo DS possible vomiting due to tiredness?

DS has vomited at bed time twice this week. Both nights he was late to bed due to various activities he was involved with. He doesn't seem ill in any other way.
Has anyone else had a child do this?

He did have a stomach bug that had been going round the school 2 weeks ago but with that he was complaining of tummy ache and had a temperature. It seemed quite different.

My kids don't do this, but I did as a child. I used to get very sick when young, and even now I get it but not as bad. I wouldn't be able to go on sleepovers etc. I've never heard of it in others before now.

Thanks for your reply.
It happened again last night and I'm a bit worried that he's got it into his head that that happens at bedtime now.
I'm going to make sure he's well hydrated during the day today and that he goes to bed promptly tonight.

Might be worthwhile cutting out dairy for 24 hours or so. It might be his tummy needs a break to get fully over his stomach bug.

Constipation. He has a blockage so he's not digesting properly. Which means the same point each night its coming up. See your GP.

I still vomit when I am over tired.

It's happened again tonight.

He's fine all day and literally as I finish his bedtime story, he feels sick and vomits. He's also had slightly loose stools the last few days, again only at bedtime. I think I'll phone the GP tomorrow.

Sounds like he's impacted.

Transpires it was a reaction to Actimel!

I bought some for me but he decided he liked them and was having one just before bedtime. The guidance is that they are ok for children over 3 but it seems like the so called good bacteria were too much for his 8yo tummy.
He had no Actimel yesterday and no vomiting. The GP has asked for a stool sample in case but she agrees that it's more than likely too many good bacteria!
