Threadworms ..... who to treat ? Bf ?

My little girl had threadworms about a year ago so I treated all of us and we never had a problem again until now .
I was pretty relaxed considering what a worrier I am !
Made sure we were all treated the next day , washed her bedding , told the school .
Dd is a little ott anyway with hand washing and germs so I didn't want to panic her and make that worse but did tell the school that she'd told me there's often no soap in the girls toilets and hopefully that helped reduce the risk of reoccurrence .

Anyway last night same thing .
Itchy bittom .... quick look revealed nasty bugger causing itch .
Luckily I had one tab left so she got that last night .
Now this time I've only gone and googled it !
Relaxed calm mother has now become freaked that the whole family will have worms forever !! Apparently I have to clean EVERYTHING and for weeks on end .
Well I'm a single working mum and as particular as I am I have a cleaner once a week and little time for anything else in between .
It's midnight before I get into bed now so there's not a chance of starting the hoovering.
I was going to wash our bedding , daily showers , own towels , hand gel ect.
Is that enough ?
Apparently it's quite common so I'm assuming other mumneters will ha e experienced this .

Finally ..... I've met a lovely man ( 3 years after a 25 yr marriage so taking things slowly and still really quite nervous ) . We are now sleeping together and I'll stay at his this evening .
Potentially I could have them which means potentially I could pass them onto him right ?

He's very easy to talk to but should I tell him ??
Not exactly going to boost the romance over dinner this evening is it !!!!
Pinot or merlot darling .... oh by the way I might have worms !!

Don't mention worms if you don't have symptoms chances are you don't have them

I would tell him. Cringey I know! It's better to be safe than sorry.

I went a little ott with cleaning when mine had them for the first time.. Washing the bedding on day of treatment then every three days after until after second dose then back to weekly. Wiping surfaces, hoovering, mopping, steam cleaning. I was told my the doctor you don't need to be ott but I couldn't cope. I still wipe down remotes/phones/iPads etc daily. The second time they had them I did still clean but stopped myself from going crazy and we still got rid easy enough. Two cases were three years apart so second time wasn't because we re-infected ourselves the first time.

Joys of parenting! 😂👍

Clicked on this link absentmindedly while waiting for the hob to heat up. Read it, put my phone down then picked up the mince to put in the pot. Not a good idea to read about worms right before needing to cook mince Grin
