Can you get a "build up" drink for 6 year olds?

Dd has been so poorly with sickness. She is drinking now and keeping down fluids but hasn't eaten since Saturday evening and looking skinny.

I know you can get special drinks to build back up for adults, but what about little ones? She is quite weak and lost a lot of weight.

Thanks

Better to offer her real, easy-to-digest food as and when she fancies, especially if her appetite is dodgy.
Suddenly offering rich milky stuff may not be the best thing for her stomach.
Once she's better I suspect she'll eat like a horse to make up for it.

What Mrsbadger said.

We have to use build up drinks with ds as a long term thing but I wouldn't run to them at this point. "Proper" food is much more preferable

My mother used to give me Parish's Food. It tasted of metal and turned my tongue black!

Chicken broth?

Paediasure shake or there's a fortisip one for kids as well. Maybe ask your local chemist.

Thank you. I'm thinking of when she's slightly better as been advised against milky drinks or dairy for next few days. I just wish she'd eat although know it takes time.

With the "not eating" - I'm worried but at what point should I really worry?

Ds went a eeek in hospital without eating once and they weren't bothered.

Keep offering but it's fluids which are most important

Okay, it's been four days, I can see her bones poking out! She's insistent that she's not going to eat but is doing well with fluids.

THanks
