Swollen lip

Just before bed DS2 age 6 started saying the side of his mouth inside was hurting a little bit.
Couldn't really see much and thought he either had a bit of an ulcer or had bitten the side of his mouth.
About 30 minutes later when he went to bed his side of his mouth/lips had swollen up a bit. We put him to bed and told him if it was hurting or got worse to come and see us. (He's the sort to want to sleep in our bed if he's got a paper cut)
We've checked on him a couple of times and he's fast asleep but his lip is really quite swollen on that side.

I've now don't the stupid thing of consulting Dr Google which has come up with anaphylactic shock and the throats also swelling and stopping breathing etc etc
I'm now panicking and considering waking him up to go to A&E but the same side of me says he went to sleep with no fuss and if it was a sever allergic reaction it would have got a lot worse by now and this is as bad as it's going to get???

He had boiled eggs and toast for tea which he's had a million times plus a jammy Dodger, he's not allergic to anything.
