Do boys testicles hurt at the start of puberty?

Just that really. 11 and a half and a few mild changes...B.O and a few pubes. But wondered if it's normal for testicles to hurt? He describes it as when he squeezes them between his legs they hurt a bit

Not heard that from my 3.

But surely if he squeezes them, they'll be a bit uncomfortable.

Mummytron · 18/06/2017 20:39

Yes I thought that too. But he seems to think it's a new thing.

Surely any boy/mans testicles hurt if they squeeze them between their legs?!

DerelictWreck · 18/06/2017 20:40

oops xpost

Maybe he's more aware of them now

Just asked DP... Confused

He said that maybe as they have dropped down they are more likely to get accidentally squeezed. Squeezing them will be uncomfortable (so tell him not to Wink ) but if they hurt all the time, when not being squeezed - that's not normal and needs checking out.

Thanks
It's just when he squeezes them so sounds like that doesn't it

Mother of four boys here!
My youngest son complained a lot about aching testicles during puberty. Your DS may have become more aware of them as they do develop rapidly at that stage and I guess they become heavier...been flashed a couple of timesBlush
I would also use this time as an opportunity to discuss lumps and bumps in that area with him. I made sure I did that as sadly a teenage boy died of testicular cancer in our area because he was too embarrassed to tell anyone.

Mummytron · 18/06/2017 22:44

Gosh a teenage boy? How sad.
Thanks for your advice.

Yes he was about 17 when he died, his mother visited all the secondary schools in our area to do a talk on testicular cancer. She felt that although too late for her son she needed to help stop it happening to others.
