Headaches in 7 yr old

Over the last 6-8 weeks my 7yr old DD has been complaining almost daily of headaches, sometimes she will suddenly hold her head wincing.
She had an eye test around 1 yr ago but just in case somethings changed since then I've book one in for next week.

I did wonder if it was due to the warm weather but she does drink a good amount of water each day, she rarely drinks juice or fizzy drinks (only sparkling flavoured water occasionally).

She was kicked in the head at school around 6 weeks ago (visit to urgent care walk in and was cleared of any issues) but I'm sure the headaches had started just before that.

If it's not her eyes should I go to the GP next?

Could it be hay-fever?

Possibly, she does sneeze a fair bit, rub her eyes and say her nose feels odd/burns so I've used piriton a few times. Hadn't thought about headaches being connected to it before but will look into it. Thanks :)

Yes, straight back to the GP. It's not normal to have prolonged headaches like this. Though it is rare, you should also be aware of the risks of brain tumours and the common symptoms: www.headsmart.org.uk/symptoms/signs-and-symptoms/

My ds had daily headaches at that age. It turned out to be chronic sinisitus. It is very difficult to diagnose in children, ds only symptom was the headache, so it took mri scan to find it.
It was caused by hayfever
