I'm wondering what the general consensus is for a suitable breakfast portion for an almost 4 year old and a 2 year old?
My kids eat weetabix with full fat milk and a teaspoon of honey every day. I always make them one weetabix each but five days out of seven both kids will ask for more and polish off a second weetabix too, identical portion size to the first.
For full disclosure the almost four year old goes to preschool two days a week. 2 year old is home with me every day. They're very active and spend a lot of time outdoors or running around the house together. They both eat a big lunch or dinner and will pick at the third meal, sometimes in sync with each other and sometimes opposite. Both are within their healthy weight range.
