Hi Tickity, what sort of bedding have you got on her? Grobag or blanket? And is the temperature dropping at all?

tickitybo · 05/05/2017 23:07

She did have a blanket over her but I took it off so she's just in Moses basket in her vest and sleepsuit, I did open sleepsuit and took her legs out would that be ok?

When my ds was born his room was that hot and warmer. I just put him in a shoet sleeve vest and sheet

outputgap · 05/05/2017 23:11

That sounds in line with the chart above, ie vest and a 0.5 tog sleepsuit, which is probably the same as a vest and a sleepsuit.

How warm is her chest/back of neck?

tickitybo · 05/05/2017 23:17

She seems cool enough it's just the room that's to warm

Is she in your room?

outputgap · 05/05/2017 23:34

I don't like babies being in draughts so I wouldn't do this for long, but I've found when our rooms get hot, that having the window and the door open really knocks down the temperature. Apologies if you're already doing that!

tickitybo · 05/05/2017 23:51

Yeah she's in my room

I live in Australia, my kids rooms have been 30 degrees and over at times. I'd recommend thin (0.5) gro bag and either a light short sleeve, short leg sleep suit or just a nappy.

flutterby77 · 07/05/2017 12:41

If you have a fan try that just to keep them cool and air circulating. Door open will help too.

This is too late for last night but I've been told a bowl of cold water in the room will cool it down.
