Has anyone any experience of this?
DS is 8, has been showing signs for 6-12 months.
Dr has referred him for blood tests, just wondering what the future may hold... am feeling very anxious
Thanks

Hello to all!

I really need some advice and help. My son has turned 9 in October 2018. Since Christmas he is often rude and aggressive to me. I dicovered in January 2019 that he got some pimples on his front. His head hair is really greasy.

Last week I was pretty shocked. I noticed that he still got some pubic hair. I never expected him having hair down there. I talked with my DS about his physical development. He told me that he got some hair around his penis since last summer with 8.5 years. He felt ashamed and insecure, thus he didnt talk to me about that. He is just 9 and child that is in primary school. To me this is too early that puberty starts.
Could this be precocious puberty that might cause problems to my son? Shall I go to the doctor? Perhaps you can give me advice what to do. I am worrying.

Hi please could you offer some advice and share your experiences, my daughter (7) is due a LHRH.

@Bri11,

Both my kids were on these, it worked on my 7 year old girl better than my older boy, think it was too late for him.
The decapeptyl injections they had were quite painful, I will warn you! Plan a nice treat for after and consider Emla cream if it is too bad (you will need to know where they are putting the injection for this in advance and would have to apply at home like an hour prior) . My son found Emla cream helped, my daughter no because she found it still hurt under the skin if you know what I mean?

Oh, my daughter's come off hers now, aged about 10.5, during lockdown. Puberty seems to have restarted, no period yet though. I think for her it was a success.
