I'm not sure what this would come under.
But has anyone else found johnsons shampoo has given there LO cradle cap, my son is only 9 weeks old and johnsons has slowly been drying his scalp out like the tiniest flakes and then tonight boom loads of cradle cap!!!!!

Johnsons is worst stuff. I had lots of problems with it which is supposedly common

Olive oil will sort the cradle cap

Olive oil left for an hour or so before a bath and massage with a soft baby brush. Rinse it out. Makes a real difference.

You either get cradle cap or you don't. It won't be the shampoo. You can use olive oil on your baby's hair then gently brush backwards from the forehead to lift the cradle cap. It doesn't always work though as my 8 yo ds1 still has it.

I agree it's not the shampoo causing it. However I found Johnson's shampoo & all-in-one dried out my DS' skin. I've since swapped him to Chikd's Farn which is lovely & far more gentle.

Aveeno is also highly recommended for baby skin but I've not tried it myself

Brush their hair ever day with a soft baby brush as it stimulates the scalp and removes the build up of dead skin... I was given this tip when I had my babies and they never suffered with cradle cap. It's also funny how many cures suggest brushing or massaging

My LO is 12 weeks and had a little cradle cap which coconut oil really helped with, though olive oil is good too, my HV told me to use aloe vera, which burnt his scalp Shock it was red raw so I would avoid that! I gently rub in a fair bit of oil to the affected area an hour before bath time then I wash it out with some gentle baby soap or shampoo, then give it a brush with a wee soft baby brush.
