Dd is 7 and has a history of getting
Upper respitory infections that linger and often has a cough. She cannot blow her nose which I know doesn't help symptoms. I have tried everything to encourage her with bubbles etc but she can't blow only sniff. She often looks purple under her eyes And complains of a headache. Taken her numerous times to GP but always say try steam , saline sprays etc. Last year she was prescribed beconase but it brought her up in a rash and seemed to effect her immune system so we had to stop. Pharmacist was concerned that a 6 year old shouldnt be on a nasal steriod for more than a week anyway. I have looked into going privately to see a ENT specialist but in a our area they can't see a patient under 12 privately. GP doesn't think she warrants a visit.Anyone had similar experience. She is a very poor sleeper too and has been up since 4:30 this morning. Getting a bit desperate.

She sounds like my DS but he has been taking Beconase for over a year Shock I have queried it with my GP but he said it was fine. I'm now worried about it again!

How is she when she is well? Does she snore at night? I think you should push gp again for an ent referral

Thanks for replies. I think I am going to take back to GP again and try and get a referral. She has had pains in her ears this weekend with noise too and pain over one eye. No temp but its really effecting her quality of life. She doesn't snore but mouth always open wide.
