Children's 'yellow' teeth

My DS is 10 & has his adult front teeth, but they've gotten very yellow. We've finally got to the point of getting him to properly clean them regularly (although will sometimes still be a battle) but is there anything we can do to make them whiter?

What's the best toothpaste to use? Any recommendations on toothbrushes? TIA

An electric toothbrush is the best for cleaning teeth and some reluctant brushes.

Sometimes it's just a genetic thing once you have ruled out certain medications which can cause tooth discolouration.

Adult teeth can look yellow especially when they are sitting beside the baby teeth that are super white.

If they are yellow as he hasn't cleaned them he will need to see a dental hygienist or dentist and have them properly cleaned. A toothbrush won't get off hardened plaque.

Thanks all. He cleans his teeth & we all visit the dentist regularly so there isn't an issue as such with his teeth but they just look so yellow compared to his baby teeth & I don't want him to have yellow teeth if there's something I can do to avoid that.

I think I'll try the electric toothbrush given what the first poster said. . Any recommendations on toothpaste?

I don't think whitening toothpastes are really recommended for children. I know that I haven't to use it for ds (10) as his enamel isn't great to begin with and the whitening ones just scrape the surface of the teeth
