Hello
Dd 2yo keeps getting car sick.
Forward facing isn't really an option for us as we hope to erf until she's at least 4 if not longer

Anyone have any top tips please?
Are the bracelets things any good, even if she keeps them on

Hi, we had the same problem and much as I wanted to carry on with ERF, we had to forward face as it was making her so, so miserable. This helped straight away on shorter journeys (up to about 45min). She travelled backwards in an ambulance recently and that kicked it off again (she has to face forwards in a train too). I'm exactly the same, i get horribly travel sick when not facing the direction of travel

I ended up mentioning it to the GP too, as nothing is licenced for under threes and he recommended piriton, which we now use for longer journeys and we haven't had any sickness since

I understand the very logical reasons firs ERFing but does the potential benefits in a theoretical but unlikely accidents outway regular and extended misery for your poor DC? I used to get travel sick as a child and it really is a horrific feeling.

The only thing that worked for us was forward facing in the front seat.

As others have said, switching to forward facing has been the only thing to help. I wanted very much to ERF too, but my DD was getting so so car sick, and it didn't seem fair to let her feel so bad.

Thanks. Stuff to consider
