Hi my eldest is 8, discovered she had worms approx 6weeks ago. Treated, cleaned all house etc
Now here's the question-
2 year old doesn't poop very often (every 3-4 days) and now only just seeing dead worms in his nappy (eeewwww) could these be from the original infestation 6 weeks ago? Any input appreciated I'm starting to freak out again!

Did you only treat once? It's possible that some eggs weren't killed and that can mean the cycle has continued. Best practice to treat 2weeks after the first dose... oh and have you treated the whole family to avoid cross infection?

It sounds to me that it's some poo stuck to the lining of his bowels that's come out.

Hello yes treated whole family 2 weeks apart as per instructions. I was just worried that it took so long to show up with him. He had no signs in his BM until this week (6 weeks after). I'm like a crazy person checking my eldest with a torch every night! Shock

Oh and I started to notice them yesterday but today they were very noticeable (he's been a bit more regular with his BM this week for some reason) x

It's been ages since I've dealt with threadworms but surely it's good if you're seeing dead worms?!

I hope so! Worms have never crossed my mind before now, I thought the worst thing to deal with was head lice how wrong was I?!Blush
