Head lice alert!

My two children have headlice. Have just sat for hours meticulously combing with a nitty gritty but I also want to lotion them up. Which is the best please? I will of course continue to comb each day. Erghhhh

Hedrin works here.

P.s I feel your pain. Bloody nits.

Wet combing hair smothered in hair conditioner takes time, but works perfectly. Some head lice lotions contain horrendous chemicals and they are not necessary to use when conditioner does the job 100%. Careful what you put on young scalps!

Conditioner with tea tree oil (assuming they're over the age of 1) and a good comb with a nitty gritty will shift the wee buggers. I've sadly had more experience with them than I ever wanted (DSDs school is rife with them) but after spending many many hours combing waist length, thick hair to rid them of several generations of lice I've found conditioner/tea tree/nitty gritty the only reliable way to get rid.

Thank you. I comb for hours with nitty gritty until I get nothing. I shall re comb this eve with conditioner and tea tree too. Thank you x

SeaDragon it's soul destroying but honestly the most effective way. SS were involved with my DSDs because of neglect (long story, they live 100 + miles away) and it got to the point we were making the round trip once a week to sort their hair out, because even once a fortnight wasn't doing it.

Child's farm strawberry and mint shampoo and conditioner is great. Their grapefruit and tea tree detangler with a bit comb is fab too.
