Snotty baby can't breathe properly

Hi everyone
My DD 18 weeks old and has a cold. She's full of phlegm and is so snotty she can't breathe properly especially when trying to go to sleep she's getting so frustrated and waking up all the time
Any tips on how to help her?
Seems silly to call 111 just for a snotty nose but I don't know how to help the poor girl

I feel your pain, I've essentially spent the night sitting up with baby on my chest as it's the only way she'll sleep. I'm shattered!
I ended up running the shower hot at 3am to try to loosen her up a bit. The neighbours must love me.

Things to try-
Nasal aspirator- sucks the snot out. Some babies hate it, mine does, but some people swear by them
Olbus oil, I hold a tissue with some one while she feeds
Calpol room vaporisor
Standing in a steamy bathroom before bed
Saline nasal spray
towel under mattress of cot so head is slightly raised

But mostly with colds you just have to ride it out ime, maybe taking turns with DP to hold baby while they sleep. Hope your DD feels better soon.

My DS 2 has same thing at the moment. Think it's going round. For mine I use the saline drops rather than the spray as it's a bit nicer for them I think. Just as effective. I also rub balm on their chests and I use the calpol plug in in their rooms. It's really lovely. Works usually. You can also use nurofen as blocked noses are partly due to inflammation as well as snot. Brand wise I don't think it makes a difference. They're all pretty much the same. Hope all better soon.

Thank you everyone for the advice, looks like a trip to the chemist when she wakes from her nap. She's so restless bless her.
I do have one of those snot sucker things but never used it, might have to give it a try!
