Eczema help

Ds has bad eczema and nothing seems to help it. He uses no soaps and baths every other day. Any helpful advice appreciated

How old is he? What creams do you use? What do you use in the bath?

Have you been to the GP? We had to try loads of different creams before finding one that suited my baby's skin. We use Aveeno now and Ultrabase in the bath.

Steroid cream to halt the worst then rigorous moisturising etc with a variety of creams until you find one that works. It was Aveeno Intensive Hand Cream in the end for us after 4 yrs of trying. Just keep bothering GP for different approaches. Having said that , we found out about the Aveeno having to buy in an emergency from Boots!

Aveeno aggravates it and he uses emulsiderm for the bath. I've used steroid but as soon as i stop it comes back.hes only 3

I only bath Ds twice a week, advice of doctor. We use Balneum Bath Oil which has kept Ds and Dd's under control. Dd 13 now has to use soap as well, use Simple which is ok.
Mine on the other hand on my hands is terrible!! Currently using Epaderm, might try Aveeno though as it's almost bleeding - not even aware I'm scratching until someone tells me off!! :(

My son suffered terribly from the age of 3 to about 8, he's ten now and just gets the odd patch on the back of his knees. The best cream I found is called Egyptian Magic, have to buy it and it's not cheap but really helped
