shark teeth

My 6.5yo has not yet lost a tooth. Her second adult tooth has erupted (first one was a molar) but has come in behind her front baby tooth. Google tells me this is called shark teeth.
The baby tooth in front is wobbly, has been since October but no real signs of coming out yet. Is this a problem? Will speak to the dentist this week I'd hate for her to have to get a tooth pulled, I had a few childhood dentist traumas which has had lasting effects. Any thoughts, experiences, does the baby tooth need pulled? Thanks

I had this happen with one of my upper canines. The adult canine started coming in and the baby one wouldn't budge. Dentist said to leave it alone as it would fall out.

Well, it didn't. Eventually had to have it pulled out, but not before the adult tooth had been shunted way out of position, requiring years of orthodontic work to fix (I would have definitely needed braces anyway, but it was an added complication).

I'd definitely ask the dentist for advice.

Both mine had this with the bottom front teeth. The baby teeth came out by themselves and the adult tooth moved forward into position without any assistance too

Dd had this. Make your child wobble the tooth which should have come out every day.

The front tooth will eventually (months) come out and the tongue will guide the shark tooth into place.

But if your child doesn't wobble the tooth, it won't come out and will need pulling.

My dd has this with 2 teeth. Took a few months and they're now fine, dentist described it to me as adult sized teeth, kid sized jaw!
