15 month old being sick every night

Don't know if this is the best place to post but looking for some advice. Dd2 is 15 months & has started being sick in bed at night.
She's fine during the day - just around 4-5hrs after going to bed she is really sick.
It's happened for the past 4 nights now & once she was sick again in my bed ( always co-sleeping after initial wake-up).
She's had symptoms of teething but no sign of teeth, and is a bit snotty but not particularly pleghmy.
Any ideas - combined with dd1 being snotty & bedwetting - so fed up of washing & starting to worry that I'm ignoring her actually being poorly

Could it be a change in diet? Perhaps something new or a new brand of food that's been introduced?
Or have her sleeping circumstances changed in any way?

Nothing specific food wise - although most if her week day meals are at nursery.
She's not long gone onto 100% cows milk coz I took an age for some reason weaning her off formula & bm, but still 3 weeks ago not just now.
Weird - hopefully just a phase & nothing too sinister

Could be the dairy - an intolerance can build up.

I would drop dairy out of her diet for 3 weeks and see what happens.

Sounds like an allergy. Same thing happens to DS if he has one of his allergens. Sometimes he is sick straight away and sometimes it takes a few hours and comes up in bed.

Vijac · 14/02/2016 21:48

Could be a virus. When my dd was a similar age we all got a nasty sickness bug that was more or less over in 12 hours. She had it too but only at night over a much longer period. 3 nights sick at night and at least 5 days funny nappies.

Twistedheartache · 14/02/2016 23:25

@vijac - you might be on to something. DD1 was sick weds night well about 3am Thurs, I had d&v Thurs night and have been fine since.
Fingers crossed it's not allergens/dairy. I've pretty much taken all bread out of her diet because it wasn't agreeing with her - really don't fancy trying to take dairy away.

Thank you all

No vomit last night - so fingers crossed it was just a weird virus. Thanks again for your input

Sounds like a virus. Does she drink water out of a sippy cup?

Twistedheartache · 15/02/2016 11:48

Yes anywhere other than at the table. Not at night though generally - she doesn't have it in her cot.
Germ heaven?

Some of them are. Ones that you can't completely open can have mould in them apparently.

With regards to diet and possible sensitivities, I would definitely talk to your GP, as allergy testing may be appropriate and seeing a dietician. The other consideration is what time does your daughter have her tea and last drink before going to sleep? She may need a bit longer to digest her food before going to bed and laying flat, which can cause regurgitation when the tummy is still full/partially full.

I hope your daughter gets better very soon
Best wishes
Kate

Might be a virus but sometimes reflux can cause it. check with Dr if continues. We used to have to give my son gaviscon at that age.
