DS is 15weeks. Prev posted about his nose sounding snotty although have now decided its in his throat. He sounds like he needs to clear his throat, sometimes when hes breathing it sounds 'thick' in his throat. Or, as my mum puts it, 'ruckely'.

Been to drs twice, doesnt do it when we are there. Doesnt do it alk the time. Has learnt to cough to clear it but will sometimes do it a lot.

People comment on him having a cold etc when they hear it.

Not unwell, no temp.

I will try to record it and go back to docs but they have listened to his chest which is fine.

He does get somw reflux too, i wondered if it was something to do with that. Any ideas?

Babies tubes are tiny, which means they stay congested for longer and often sound awful.

If GP has checked him over and said he's ok id probably believe him.

Do you burn ol bad oil to help ease congestion? Like in an oil burner? Always helps my 2.
Slightly raiding head end of mattress/crib to elevate can help them breathe a bit better.

Is he your first? Try not to worry too much, but do go with your gut. You'll hate yourself if you don't Thanks

Yes he's pfb :-)

I did get the impression that the gp thought that too though. Its frustrating that it sounds SO awful but never near a health professional. It has been like it for weeks - as in about 8 weeks.

And thank you. Manners have deserted me at this hour. :-)

I've got 2 DC 3 yrs old and 14months.

Every dough, cold, temperature, vomiting etc all happens at home and never bear the GP! Recently ds (14m) had a temp of 40.7. My GP is round the corner so legged it down there. By time he was seen it was 36.8 by time we got back home it was 39.8!
Kids seem to have some magical ability to not be ill in front of any health professional!!
I feel your pain, ds was reflux too. Grew out of it around 15 weeks old thankfully.

Gp's honestly don't mind seeing an infant a thousand times. Certainly my GP says he would rather see my kids a million times for nothing serious (or even nothing much at all) then me it take them in and miss something vitally serious.
