My DD is 10 (will be 11 in March). She has started complaining of headaches relatively frequently. When she gets them I give her 10ml of calprofen (the stated dose) which sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't.
I remember having the same when I was a similar age; so much so that my mum took me to the doctor. At the time I think u was 11 as my mum used to give me half a paracetamol to try and help. I remember the doctor saying to my mum that I should try having a whole tablet. Well that helped and eventually the headaches stopped although I'm not sure whether it was the tablets or a placebo affect.
Would I be wrong to try giving DD 'adult' headache remedies (obviously not super strength ones) and see if that helps or should I continue with the children's calprofen/calpol?
