DD throwing up - due to fly tomorrow

Do I need to worry about not going on holiday?

DD (1yo) threw up out of the blue just before dinner, understandably wouldn't eat, but wanted to feed (I'm bf-ing still). Threw that up. Had a bath and a feed and seemed to keep that down. Got in pjs, played with DH for a bit then had her normal bedtime feed and has just thrown that up.

She's ok ish in herself, a bit cuddlier than normal, she's got a bit of a sore bottom but more or less ok.

We're due to go on holiday tomorrow. Flight is at 4pm.

If she gets worse what do I do?!

You phone your insurance company and cancel/postpone your flights.

Sounds like she has some sort of bug so you can't really fly. Hope she feels better soon

It'll be covered by your travel insurance if she's still sick tomorrow. You'll want a doctors appointment so that you can prove her illness to the insurance company.

It sounds like the start of a bug, but I hope it's not and that her stomach settles soon!

I don't think you can fly tomorrow sorry

spanky2 · 06/09/2015 19:35

Ds2 threw up the day before we flew. We were careful with what he ate and he was fine on the plane. However DH threw up on first night and I caught it off him a couple of days later! We still had a great holiday.

Ok thanks all, I guess we'll see what tonight brings......

Morning minty, how was last night? Is DD feeling better this morning?

CocktailQueen · 07/09/2015 08:03

Oh well, spanky2, as long as you had a good holiday, that's all that matters, eh? Not worried about spreading your sick bug to the hundreds of other people on the plane who perhaps wanted to enjoy a holiday without a sick bug?! Hmm Nice.

spanky2 · 07/09/2015 08:08

Upset tummy bugs are caught from contact with or being in the same room as the vomit.

AnaisB · 07/09/2015 08:14

Unfortunately that's not true Minty.

e.g. NHS Norovirus

AnaisB · 07/09/2015 08:15

Sorry - meant to say Spanky

CocktailQueen · 07/09/2015 09:02

Spanky, why on earth do you think schools etc have a policy of 'do not return until 48 hours after last D/V'?? And that includes no swimming for 48 hours after too, or you could infect a whole hotel of people. FFS!

LondonSnow13 · 08/09/2015 22:17

Why would you take them on a plane with a sickness bug

I'm auto immune and my holiday would be ruined
