Hey all. My Lb is 11 months old and has situs invertus. Ive had to take him to the hospital a few times within the last few months with reoccurring pain and blood In his stools. A fair bit of blood. And not down to constipation.
They just feel his tummy and send him home saying "hes smiling so hes fine".
Last month I got a call saying his Liver blood test was abnormal and needed re doing. Though the soonest I could get it done is 24th August so still waiting to do it.
Today I get a call saying the urine sample he did came back abnormal and they want us to go in tomorrow morning to give them a new sample.

Obviously im worrying but is this normal? Could the liver blood test and urine sample be related? Any ideas or experiences for a worried mum?
Thanks! Smile

I'm afraid there are so many possibilities with liver and urine tests it is impossible to say without knowing the actual results. Hope you get some answers from the docs soon.

As wildfire says there are so many options you can't say. What I will say is that if they thought it was abnormal in a serious and urgent way then you wouldn't be waiting. You'd be being blue lighted and admitted.

"Abnormal and needs redoing" could be as simple as they think it's contaminated by something external. These things do happen.
Ds had a blood test at 10 weeks old where they "didn't get enough blood". I commented that they'd taken most of an arm's worth and the GP lent over to me and said "it's lab talk for we dropped one of the test tubes on the floor."
