Mucus in stools at 10 months?

I took my Little boy to hospital at the start of July due to blood in his loose stools and vomiting. They took a blood test and sent him home. I then got a letter saying his Liver function test came back high. So booked in for another blood test on Aug 24th.

Well hes had on and off doggy stools since then, and been incredibly irritated. Last 24 hours hes vomiting, though not too much, and has horrendous diarrhea (sorry) with Alot of snot like mucus in it. One nappy was 100% clear mucus with bread crumbs!
He hasn t got a cold or anything, never seen this with my eldest son.
Hes got situs invertus so Im such a worrier

I had a friend whose baby had mucus in stools due to dairy allergy.

Green! I don't think its an allergy, he hasn't had anything new lately

Oh hers was green and mucus too. I would look into it...dairy allergies can start any time.

But mucus in poop is also a telltale sign of an infection or allergy. If it's accompanied by any other symptoms or shows up in your baby's diaper for two days or more, call the doctor to rule out any problems.

My daughter used to hav this when she was a baby then we found out she had a milk allergy.
I suffer with pancreas problems and a sign of that is high liver levels also a change in stools (sorry tmi),don't want to worry you just thought If let you know. Have a look at milk allergy and see if they are other symptoms that seem familiar.

I would ask your doctor to refer him for a blood test for coeliac disease. The symptoms you describe sound very similar to those DD1 suffered before she was diagnosed. Have a look at the Coeliac UK website to see whether he's displaying any other symptoms.

Just noticed, they don't mention vomiting - DD1 vomited every two or three days, and veered from chronic constipation to terrible diarrhoea. Also, undiagnosed coeliac disease can be linked to issues with dairy, so some symptoms are similar.
