Me and dh have discussions about going abroad far away ( I.e. India, Thailand,)) I'm talking far away, over 10 hour flight. I don't feel comfortable travelling that far while the kids are little. My youngest is 3, nearly 4 and I have always said when he is over 5 I'd be more comfortable. I think the reason I feel like this is because our kids have had alot of health issues. When my dd was younger she had 13 febrile convulsions in 2 years. My son has subglottic stenosis ( narrowing of the wind pipe) and has had to go to a&e sometimes by ambulance about 12 times in the last year. Dh thinks I am over the top and does not see where I am coming from. What do you think?

I probably wouldn't because of your sons windpipe issues tbh.

Maybe you could have a chat with your doctor and get their advice? Then if the doctor agrees with you your husband can't really argue too much about it x

I wouldn't with DS and his health problems.

But in your case I would start by talking to your doctor, then look at how much insurance would cost and what the hopsital facilities are like where you are going.

Can you have some emergency meds with you so if it happens you can administer the meds straight away whilst finding medical help?

I wouldn't because I would spend the whole time worrying and wouldn't enjoy myself.

I don't think I would. My kid fell ill on a holiday trip and although it was a minor problem in the end and we had contact numbers for a doctor through the travel insurance it was quite stressful.
