Toddler still doesn't have one of his front teeth

Ds is 19 months and has 10 teeth, but one of his front lateral incisors (next to the two middle teeth on the bottom) still hasn't come through. The other bottom ones came through months ago. Has this happened to anyone else? Don't know if it's a problem or not and can't find anything online!

I'm not sure I'm afraid. But 19 months is not too young to visit a dentist. I'd make an appointment and ask!

I only have three teeth at the bottom front- baby ones and adult ones. Sometimes you just don't get them

I was thinking about phoning the dentist and asking him, just because Im not sure I can face the drama of taking him for a check up (he's been once before when he only had a couple of teeth, there were hysterics Grin). Interesting, I've never heard of people not having them at all, is it common?

DS (21m) was like that with a top incisor. It only started coming through a few wks ago, though the canine next to it has been there for months.

At his dental checkup at c13m she just said that they don't always come in the order that the books say.

Checking with your dentist is a good idea but I'd also not worry yet Smile

Ds's never came through. The adult one has although it is currently a bit crowded at the front as the spacing isn't quite right.

We had exactly the same thing with a lower incisor. It came through around 18/19 months and it's apparently not unusual Smile
